we went on De touch the website and looked at how they use photo shop to modify the body and how they use image manipulation, how they use body politics. We looked at an example of alicia keys and we watch as the image of her gradually changed as the more it got edited it was shocking.
we had to answer the following questions:
1.what are the key differences which occur in the process to
a) female
with female they tend to make them look like they have more makeup on and they tend drop of some weight so they look perfect.
b) male
with:
*facial features
*limbs
*toros
2. how are these images created?
3.why?
4.what are the dominate ideologies (peoples thought) here in terms of
*gender
*status
*ethnicity
ii) what is potentially morally dubious about this? (what problems could it cause, what is it represents?)
